Norwich cut loose McDonald for Coventry move

Championship Coventry have captured striker Cody McDonald from
Premiership Norwich on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs this summer,
including Peterborough, MK Dons and Sheffield Wednesday, having bagged
25 goals while on loan at Gillingham last season.

McDonald, who completed a medical at the Sky Blues Ryton training
ground earlier on transfer deadline day, is thought to have cost in
the region of £400,000.

“Cody is an exciting player who has a proven track record. We believe
that he is capable of producing at this level and we are delighted to
have him on board,” boss Andy Thorn told the club’s official
website.

“I have been looking at him for a considerable time and he was my
number one choice as a recruit so I am delighted we have secured his
services.”
