Tottenham boss Redknapp says all key players including Modric are not for sale
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is remaining defiant following recent reports that Luka Modric had emerged as a transfer target for the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Croatian midfielder is attracting a lot of press at the moment, especially after his comments indicating he was unsure of his future at White Hart Lane as he wants to pursue Champions League football.
Regardless of the situation, Redknapp says that none of the club’s key players will be departing North London this summer.
“All of our key players are under contract,” he said today. “The chairman and I have discussed this and we have no intention of selling any of them.
“They are at a top club and we are looking to improve the squad in the summer, not weaken it, in order to push for a Champions League place again next season.”
